Tech Tip Tuesday!

If you ever find yourself constantly switching back and forth between two apps or resizing windows by hand, this one is going to save you a lot of frustration.

Windows has a built-in window snapping feature that lets you instantly split your screen between two apps side by side, no dragging or resizing required.

Here is how to use it:

  1. Click on any open window to make it active.
  2. Press Win + Left Arrow to snap it to the left half of your screen, or Win + Right Arrow to snap it to the right.
  3. Windows will then show your other open apps and let you pick one to fill the other half.

That is it! Now you can have your email open on one side and a document on the other, or keep a reference page visible while you work in a spreadsheet. It works on both Windows 10 and 11.

We share tips like this because we believe technology should make your day easier, not harder. If you ever want help getting more out of your team's computers, we are always happy to chat.
